SEnC energy management system

SEnC is an intelligent energy management system developed specifically for small and medium-sized enterprises. It optimizes energy flow within the company, increases self-sufficiency, and ensures the efficient use of generation systems, battery storage, and flexible consumers.

Intelligent control and optimization
SEnC not only controls its own generation systems and battery storage, but also integrates consumption systems. This allows existing storage effects—such as pre-cooling cold stores or storing water in elevated tanks – to be used efficiently. At the same time, the load profile is smoothed and the energy supply stabilized.

Energy selection
Using the innovative “energy selection” method, SEnC automatically compares data from the electricity and gas exchanges. This ensures that the most economical energy source is always selected – whether it be in-house generation, e.g., via a CHP unit, grid procurement, or temporary storage in batteries. In addition, flexible loads can be shifted and optimally integrated into the operating process.

Transparency through portal and visualization
All consumption and generation values are transmitted to a central server via MQTT. Users can view load profiles and energy data at any time via a user-friendly portal. Thanks to modern HTML5 web visualization, all functions can be monitored and parameterized.

Integration into existing infrastructure

The SEnC uses the existing protection and control technology of the generation plants—for example, via our Gridbox—and draws on the existing measured values. It is fully integrated into Codesys modules on our Wago PFC 300 and also maps important functions such as:

  • EZA controller
  • Telecontrol technology for grid operators and direct marketers
  • Connection to protection technology
